Futures contracts simultaneously increased in the session on December 17, 2021. The contract Basis VN30F2201 expanded and reached a value of 6.44 points. This shows that investors are more optimistic about the prospect of VN30-Index.
I. STOCK MARKET INDEX FUTURE CONTRACT
I.1. Market movements
Futures contracts simultaneously increased in the session on December 17, 2021. VN30F2201 (F2201) increased by 0.46%, reaching 1,520 points; VN30F2202 (F2202) increased by 0.48%, reaching 1,516 points; contract VN30F2203 (F2203) increased by 1.18%, reaching 1,519 points; contract VN30F2206 (F2206) increased by 0.72%, to 1,517 points. Currently, the base VN30-Index is at 1,513.56 points.
The transaction value of the derivatives market decreased by 9.53% compared to the session on December 16, 2021. For the whole week, the transaction value decreased by 15.28% compared to the previous week. Foreign investors returned to net buying after 5 consecutive net selling sessions with the total net buying volume in the last session of the week reaching 2,855 contracts.
The F2201 contract has had a volatile week. Following the trend of last week, F2201 continued to decline in the first session of the week and this decrease was maintained for the next 3 sessions. However, the return of buyers in Friday's session helped the F2201 contract back above the reference level at the close of the trading week.
