Securities experts continue to assess short-term risks at a low level, indicating that the market will lean towards a sideways scenario or a slight increase in the last trading sessions before the holiday.
Ending the trading session on January 26, 2022, the VN-Index increased by 2 points (0.14%) to 1,481.58 points. The whole floor had 225 gainers, 239 losers and 37 standstill stocks.
In which, banking codes still played the main role supporting the index, strong gainers included: LPB, VIB, VPB, STB, BVB, ABB,...
Petroleum stocks suddenly accelerated to break out at the end of the session. PLX soared more than 4%, GAS increased by 2.5%...helping VN30-Index skyrocket. Some large-cap real estate stocks such as VRE, VIC, and VHM also gained at the end of the session.
While banking stocks continued to sublimate, the share price of Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (VNM) continued to decline for many consecutive sessions. Specifically, January 25, while VN30 increased to nearly 45 points, many blue chips increased strongly but VNM still fell 2.22% to 79,200 dong/share, to the lowest level since May 2020.
VNM has decreased continuously in the last 5 sessions from 83,400 VND/share to 79,200 VND/share. Although the decrease was not much, it was the continuation of the persistent decline over the past 1 year. In 2021, VN-Index grew among the top in the world with 36%, many stocks increased by times or even dozens of times, but VNM stood out from all rising waves of the general market.
From the peak of 111,000 VND/share 1 year ago, VNM has lost nearly 40% in value. Almost everyone who bought VNM stock last year fell into a loss.
The path of shares of Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (code: VNM) makes all investors attached to the business heartbroken, sighing and lamenting: "Holding VNM for a year, losing more and more"; "Investors who lost money this time were at least luckier than VNM shareholders because they held stocks that increased by the same amount as last time, when the adjustment is normal. The more VNM shareholders hold on to more losses, the more heartbroken they become.. ."
