During the year of the New Year, the VN-Index kept its uptrend and set new historical highs many times, the highest peak was on November 25, 2021 when the index touched 1,500.81 points.

Along with the strong growth of the index, the stock market capitalization also increased strongly. As of January 28, 2021, the market capitalization reached nearly 7.6 million billion VND, equivalent to 330 billion USD.
Liquidity in the stock market exploded and increased sharply in the year of the New Year thanks to the cash flow of domestic investors leading the market.
From an average trading value of nearly 17,000 billion VND/session in February, stock market liquidity has increased rapidly and continuously over the months and in November reached 40 trillion VND/session. On November 19, 2021, the market recorded a record trading session of VND 56.1 trillion.
For the whole year of Tan Suu, the average trading value of the whole market reached more than 27.6 trillion VND/session.
In 2021, the number of investors participating in the stock market has increased sharply recently, contributing to pushing the market liquidity to billions of USD/session. In 2021, more than 1.5 million new accounts were opened, bringing the total number of securities accounts in Vietnam to 4.3 million accounts, an increase of 55% compared to the end of 2020.
